| 内容記述 | This paper aims to clarify how to apply Actor-Network Theory (ANT) to tourism studies. In doing so, it predominantly addresses the ANT theories of Bruno Latour and John Law. Referring to ANT and previous tourism research, this paper clarifies the fundamental concepts of ANT. Further, it clarifies the possibilities of future research subjects and methods based on the global trend of sustainable tourism and various new types of tourism phenomena during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, in the first half of this paper, the fundamental concepts of “heterogeneity” and “relationality” are reconsidered from the perspective of tourism studies. Then, the ontological implications of applying ANT to tourism studies (“the plurality of realities"), the resulting position of researchers (“the political nature of researchers"), and the four fundamental characteristics of ANT as a research method are considered. In the second half of this paper, referring to concepts proposed by previous studies such as “plurality of realities of things,” “tourism scape,” “passage,” and “relational entrepreneurship,” possible future research subjects and methods are clarified in three categories. These categories are “thing,” “destination,” and “innovation." | |||||
